Since end of 2005 EASA
with its MO17, M005 and MDM 032 Working Groups concentrated
its efforts mainly on the modifications that should be
brought to Regulation CE 2042/2003, in
order to make it acceptable for non commercial light aviation, in
particular the aeroplanes, the gliders and the balloons that fall
outside Annex II of Regulation 1592/2002.
A first consultation on maintenance was proposed to the users: NPA 7/2005 for which a Comment Response Document has been published. The second consultation NPA 08/2007 has been closed on 13 October 2007. Every one was invited to respond to this consultation.

The Royal Belgian Aero Club sent a General answer. To get the file click here.
EAS made a more specific answer with the answer received from all its members. To get the file click here.
After this, EASA will write a final Comment Response Document and will propose the changes to be brought on CE 2042/2003 to the Commission.
