New World record attempt by Jochen Zeischa
On August 13th, 2021, Jochen Zeischa succeeded in his attempt to beat the present World Speed Record over a triangular course of 50 km. Known by FAI as "task 0-1, G", this flight was accomplished on board of a 0-1 Icaro Laminar 14-8 hang glider. The location was Saint-André des Alpes (FRA) and the effective speed over the 50 km distance was 59.67 km/h.
The attempt was approved by the RBAC Sports Commission and sent to FAI for approval. See the attached documents.
